VSP Names Don Yee Family Of Companies' CEO

Sacramento CA, December 13, 2005 — In a move signaling the growing importance of its subsidiary organizations, VSP (Vision Service Plan) announced today that Don Yee will become CEO of VSP's family of companies. Yee will oversee Altaireyewear, the VSP Labs and Eyefinity, and will be responsible for future venture development.

"This decision reflects the commitment of our company to these businesses, and to the possibility of creating future ventures that can support private practice and help VSP grow and compete," said Roger Valine, VSP's president and CEO.

In addition to his new CEO role over the family of companies, Don will maintain his current position as senior vice president of marketing and corporate development at VSP. In both of these roles, Don will report directly to Valine and ultimately to Rob Lynch, who will become president of VSP in February.

"I've known Don for many years and I'm confident that he's the right person to lead our efforts in this area," said Lynch. "I'm looking forward to working with him and the teams at each subsidiary organization as they work to better support doctors and patients."

Before joining VSP in March of 1998, Yee worked for more than 18 years as an advisor to, or an executive with, numerous companies, providing them with strategic planning, marketing, sales, new venture formation, organizational design and process improvement expertise.
