VSP Names New General Counsel

Sacramento, CA – September 25, 2006 –VSP, the nation’s largest vision benefits provider, today announced Thomas Fessler as its general counsel and vice president of the Legal Division.

Prior to joining VSP in 2006, Thomas served as the general counsel and corporate secretary of New York City-based Buck Consultants and the senior vice president and group counsel for the Commercial Solutions Group of Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. of Dallas, Texas. In these senior legal positions, Thomas was responsible for the legal, commercial, and international affairs of both Buck Consultants and ACS’ Commercial Solutions Group.

“With more than 23 years experience as a corporate, private and public sector attorney, Thomas provides VSP with unique expertise in domestic and international acquisitions, litigation and risk management,” said Rob Lynch, president and CEO of VSP. “I am delighted that Thomas is joining VSP, he will be a great addition to our strong leadership team.”

Fessler is a member of the board of directors of the Pepperdine University School of Law. As a general counsel with prior companies, he has served on the boards of Buck Consultants, Dr. Dr. Heissmann GmBH and Heissmann Consultants International GmBH, and was chairman and trustee of the National Elevator Industry Pension and Health Plans.

Fessler received his undergraduate degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California.
