VSP Names New Chairman of the Board Sacramento CA, March 6, 2006 - Dan L. Mannen, O.D., F.A.A.O. has assumed the role of Chairman of the Board at VSP (Vision Service Plan), effective this month. His term as Board Chair is two years. "I have had the pleasure of working with Dan on the board over the last nine years. His proven leadership in optometry, together with his deep understanding of VSP's business makes him an ideal Board Chair," shared outgoing Board Chairman Bruce Mebine, O.D. A fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and past president of the Oregon Association of Optometric Physicians, Dr. Mannen is a senior partner in a two-office practice located in St. Helens and Scappoose, Oregon. "During my many years as a VSP network doctor and nine years on VSP's Board, I've had the opportunity to work closely with VSP's leadership and am proud to be associated with such a tremendous organization," said Mannen. "I look forward to working toward sustained growth and ensuring that VSP continues to provide exceptional eyecare through the best network of private practice doctors." Dr. Mannen is a native of Eastern Oregon and a graduate of the Pacific University College of Optometry. He is a former Commander in the United States Naval Reserve. About VSP ### |
