VSP Expands Leadership Team
Nation's largest vision benefits provider names new Human Resources VP

Sacramento, CA – July 21, 2006 – VSP (Vision Service Plan), a leader in developing innovative workplace strategies, has named Elaine Leuchars as the vice president of human resources. An employee of VSP for 12 years, Leuchars most recently served as director of human resources for the nationwide eyecare benefit provider.

During her time at VSP, Leuchars has played a key role in driving the company's high employee satisfaction levels and unique corporate culture. Having developed and implemented many of VSP's renowned workforce strategies, Leuchars was integral in helping VSP gain national recognition in Fortune magazine as a 'Best Place to Work' for seven consecutive years. VSP's new CEO Rob Lynch has worked closely with Leuchars since joining the company and values her strategic HR knowledge.

A native of the UK, Leuchars came to the United States 16 years ago, and began her career at VSP as an HR generalist/compensation lead. Prior to joining VSP, she served as a compensation analyst and manager, as well as human resource manager for CTB/McGraw-Hill. Leuchars earned her degree in business administration in the UK and her CCP and SPHR in the U.S.
