VSP Awarded Vision Care Contract for Federal Government Sacramento, CA – September 5, 2006 – VSP (Vision Service Plan), the nation's largest eyecare benefits provider, announced its selection by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management to offer eyecare benefit coverage to over 8 million federal employees, retirees and their eligible dependents. This new program marks the first time that federal workers and retirees can purchase comprehensive eyecare coverage. Enrollment in this highly anticipated plan begins on November 13, 2006, and provides an annual eye exam and coverage for eyeglasses or contact lenses. "VSP has established a reputation for offering eyecare plans known for exceptional satisfaction, ease of use and value," said VSP President and CEO Rob Lynch.
