Sacramento, CA – September 5, 2006 – VSP (Vision Service Plan), the nation's largest eyecare benefits provider, announced its selection by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management to offer eyecare benefit coverage to over 8 million federal employees, retirees and their eligible dependents. This new program marks the first time that federal workers and retirees can purchase comprehensive eyecare coverage.

Enrollment in this highly anticipated plan begins on November 13, 2006, and provides an annual eye exam and coverage for eyeglasses or contact lenses.
